Blue Oak Ranch Reserve sprawls across the steep slopes of Mount Hamilton just east of urban San Jose. Located on the western slopes of the Diablo Range, the reserve falls within the watershed of San Francisco Bay.
Blue Oak is physically accessible and well-suited to host a community of queer, trans, and gender non-conforming scientists. Blue Oak has diverse housing options, allowing for a positive experience for field everyone that might not fit into traditional gender binaries. The reserve has ADA accessible cabins, which will allow us to easily accommodate disabled field scientists and welcome more diverse perspectives.
