Allison is a third-year PhD student in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at UC Santa Cruz. She is a field biologist working on the long-term elephant seal monitoring program at Año Nuevo. She is also the Director of Facilitation for FieldFutures, an organization that works to prevent sexual harassment and assault in field settings. Melanie is a fourth-year undergraduate student at UC Santa Cruz and an intern at the University Title IX office working with Allison. She double majors in sociology and legal studies and is passionate about diversity and inclusivity in STEM fields.

Mia (she/her)

Mia is a first-year master’s student in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of California Santa Cruz. Currently, she is looking at the physiology of cetaceans focusing on female health and reproduction during a changing climate.

Ronnie (she/her)

Ronnie is a PhD candidate in Integrative Anthropological Sciences at UC Santa Barbara. She is a wildlife biologist studying feeding competition in primate communities in Uganda. She has led UC-wide discussions about the risks and challenges of queer field scientists and was the co-Director of the UCSB Fieldwork Workshop, showcasing campus safety resources for field scientists.
